Maria, making friendship bracelets

I (Rosa) grew up on a ranch in Northern Mexico. Life was good for my family as we had enough land to be self sufficient and to sell our produce to the local community. However I was always struck by the fact that local artisans made beautiful crafts but never seemed to make enough to survive on. Many had to go to big cities and forget about their wonderful mountains and deserts they grew up in. So I wanted to try to help....

Along came my furture husband an Englishman from Yorkshire who had drifted into town having been stung by a scorpion the night before. He met a lady in the plaza who invited him to a birthday party that night for a Mexican Senorita ,me.

We moved to the States a couple of years later and then to England but I never forgot my country and its culture. So I wanted to create a business where I could help create an environment to promote the crafts of my country and also make a business out of creating my own crafts. Thus RosaAzul Crafts (Blue Rose) was born.
